WHITEWATER - Allen H. Kidd, 65, died April 13, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 27, 1937, in Randles, son of the late Claude E. and Jewell Hitt Kidd, he was a self-employed farmer and was also a truck driver for Brenda Kay Construction in Benton. Past president of the Advance School Board, he was a past member of the Southeast Co-op in Advance and charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4154 in Advance. He was of the Methodist belief.
On Aug. 26, 1957, he married Karron Ellis who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Keith Kidd of Advance; three daughters, Kelly Abernathy and Kathy Mace of Advance and Karla Dowd of Hartsburg; one brother, Frank Miller of Jackson, Miss.; three sisters, Gladys Davis of Jackson, Jane Eaves of Jackson, Tenn., and Anne Markham of Bridgeton; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and two half brothers.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Tom Zych will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Hitt Cemetery near Arbor.
Pallbearers will be: Randy Abernathy, Mark Dowd, Jack Devore, Doyle Eakins, Gary Reynolds and Jerry Eggimann.
