MATTHEWS -- James Earl Lenderman, 92, formerly of Circle City, died at 11:50 a.m. April 20, 2003.
Born May 14, 1910, in Delaplaine, Ark., son of the late Levi and Mattie Williams Lenderman, he was of the General Baptist belief and had been a farm worker with Herman Smith Farms for many years.
On Oct. 16, 1937, in Blytheville, Ark., he married Trudie Ann McClain who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Geneva Lenderman of Sikeston and Harold and Dianne Lenderman of Morehouse; one daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Tommy Joe Greer of Morehouse; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Lorn Lenderman and one daughter, Patricia Lenderman and two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. H. Worth of Essex will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
