SIKESTON - Lola Mae Bennett, 86, died April 17, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Nov. 21, 1916, in Blodgett, daughter of the late Cleve McCann and Clara Mae Kernell McCann Eaker, she was a member of Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church. She worked in the food division of Sikeston Public Schools before retiring.
On Sept. 7, 1935, she married William "Reese" Bennett who preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 1987.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Jim Starks and Linda and Dennis Tinnin of Sikeston; and two grandchildren, Jason Eaton and Joe Tinnin of Sikeston.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Pat Bennett Ruhl; one brother, Tricie McCann; and two sisters, Lucille Price and Betty Arbaugh.
Services were conducted Saturday at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Rufus McClean, pastor of Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church, officiated.
Burial followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Jerry Pullen, Terry Price, Gene Price, Scott Price, David Yarborough and Tony Couch.
Honorary pallbearers were: Henry Ruhl, Jimmy Bennett, Jason Eaton, Joe Tinnin, Kyle Eudy and Robert Hubbert.
