I am one irritated voter in Ward 2 in Morehouse. The women at the election board need to slow down a little bit and make sure the voter gets the right literature they are supposed to have. I didn't lose my vote, but neither did I have Judy Greene on my ballot. When people come in there to vote, they evidently have more on their minds than you women do. You need to slow down and at the next election, make sure you've got the right literature for the registered voters. We have more on our minds when we come in there to vote and some of us are in a hurry. The ballots ought to be ready. I have mind made up and can get in there, vote and get out quickly, if you people will do your job right. We appreciate you, but I just want you to know that you gave me the wrong ballot.

Mr. Cheney, don't tell this old World War II that you have concluded the greatest military operation in history. You are wrong!

I am calling about how the area is showing its support of our troops fighting the war in Iraq. We have seen yellow ribbons in a lot of places. Yesterday we passed a little church in Grant City and they have red, white, blue and yellow balloons outside. I know sometimes it's yard to get yellow ribbon these days and I thought this was a good idea. I wish everybody were supporting our troops like these people do.

If some enterprising youth needs a job this summer, I would gladly pay to have my tires checked. The only place that used to do this (Amoco on Malone Avenue) has gone out of business. If interested, please leave a number in SpeakOut.

I am calling in support of President Bush. He has gotten a bad rap from the Pope. The Pope is responsible for all the Catholic churches, including the guys that have molested young children and all that. Who is he to say that Mr. Bush's work on this just war hasn't kept a bunch of those Iraqi Republican Guards from molesting children and stuff like that? I think the Pope is wrong.

I went to city hall a few weeks ago on a Wednesday about a pothole on South Main Street in Sikeston. It looked like it was about 12-inches long and 4-inches wide and looked like a really big hole. I drove by on Friday and the hole had already been filled. I just want to say thank you.
