EAST PRAIRIE - Flora Almeta Blue Loomas, 77, died at 4:40 p.m. April 2, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 13, 1925, in Farrenburg, daughter of the late William Henry and Jenny Harr Blue, she was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in East Prairie. She was a seamstress and was also a bookkeeper for the Loomas Auto Body Shop in East Prairie before retiring.
On Jan. 19, 1941, in Buford, S.C., she married Thomas E. Loomas who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Tommy Loomas of East Prairie; one daughter, Geneva Wood of Jonesboro, Ark.; two brothers, Raymond "Pete" Blue of East Prairie and William "Shorty" Blue of New Madrid; one sister, Earline Sweet of Farrenburg; and one granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Reva Cline; and one brother, Loren Blue.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday with Allen Lazewski officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Pallbearers will be: Bill Kersey, Raydean Burns, Walter Lewis, Barry Holidness, Ronnie Bye and Fred Blue.
