Katherine Bass

NORWICH, Conn. - Katherine Mary Bass, 58, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died at 12:58 a.m. April 3, 2003, at the Haven Health Center in Norwich.

Born Oct. 8, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Barbara Gabozy Gray of Maine and the late Russell Givens.

Survivors in addition to her mother include: one son, David M. Bass of Sikeston; five daughters, Deborra Fowler of Sikeston, Carol Bass of Cleveland, Andrea Casiano and Mary Casiano of Brazoria, Texas, and Sandra Smith of Norwich; four sisters, Ida Givens, Jenny Givens, Dorothy Givens and Crystal Givens, addresses unavailable; one brother, Russell Givens, address unavailable; and 25 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Haven Health Center with the Rev. Liz Hall officiating.
