PUXICO - William Joseph Wiley, 75, died April 1, 2003, at the John J. Pershing Veterans Administration Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Born Sept. 21, 1927, in Victoria, son of the late William and Myrtle Watters Wiley, he was a resident of Stoddard County most of his life and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In 1955, he married Susie Smith who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: seven sons, William Wiley, address unavailable, James Wiley of Marshall, Ark., John Wiley of Bloomfield, Tom Wiley of Dexter, Howard Wiley of Puxico, Henry Wiley of Lafayette, La., and Mike Wiley of Arkansas; two daughters, Fern Wiley of Sunset, La., and Katy Steven of Jonesboro, Ark.; one sister, Mae Swindell of Dexter; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. The Rev. Ray Placher will officiate.
Graveside military rites will be conducted at the Bloomfield Cemetery.
