Sikeston Standard Democrat: Obituaries: Wilma Below (04/04/03)

DELTA - Wilma Below, 85, died April 2, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born June 8, 1917, at Whittenburg, daughter of the late William and Jennie Wray Whitener, she was a member of the Delta First Baptist Church.

On Jan. 16, 1945, in Jackson, she married John Below who preceded her in death on May 7, 1975.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Co-Ann Below of Delta; one brother, Harry Whitener of Flint, Mich.; one sister, Betty Whitener of Wright City; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jennie Sue Crowden; one sister and three brothers.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Delta First Baptist Church. The Rev. Eric Hodge will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Delta.
