MINER - Carl Thomas "Tom" Crisel, 63, died at 5:33 p.m. Dec. 9, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Jan. 18, 1939, in East Prairie, son of the late William H. and Enna Drewery Crisel, he was a lifelong resident of Mississippi County and he and his wife, Sally Crisel, moved to the Miner Nursing Center in 1996. He worked for CGB Barge Company before retiring due to poor health and was of the Pentecostal belief.
Survivors in addition to his wife include: three daughters, Joy Arbogast of Springville, N.Y., Holly Setzer of Eden, N.Y., and Rena Fox of Lawtons, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were six brothers, Ray Crisel, Jay Crisel, Ramon Crisel, Charles Tomis Crisel, Earl Crisel and Roy Crisel; and three sisters, Vina Franklin, Nona Wigal and Sadie Nickells.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 11 a.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Leroy Thornton of Dyersburg, Tenn., will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Pallbearers will be: Larry Harland, Greg Harland, Ray Crisel Jr., William Crisel, Stephen Austin and Mike Medlock.
