SIKESTON -- Bethany Brooke Norman and Aaron Kyle Pointer were united in marriage in a 5 p.m. ceremony Sept. 18, 2004, at the Illinois Avenue Baptist Church. Rodney Dunlap performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Norman and granddaughter of Geneva Day, Mr. and Mrs. George Norman of Sikeston and the late Calvin Day.

Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Randy Pointer. He is the grandson of Earl Johnson and the late Inez Johnson and Ernest and Charlene Pointer.

Music for the occasion was provided by Chuck Kaminsky and included "All for One" by Sting and Rod Stewart.

Carrying a cascade bouquet of white roses, which were inserted into a silver engraved bouquet holder, a gift from the mother of the bridegroom, the bride wore a white Mori Lee gown. The scupltured, strapless bodice was overlaid with embroidered tulle and framed with intricate beading. The multi-levered tulle ballgown skirt featured asymmetric front and back drapes decorated with scattered embroidery, complemented with a chapel-length tulle detachable train and matching shawl. A bandeau of crystals, a gift from her grandmother, Aileene Norman, secured the bridal veil which had scattered crystals throughout.

The bride chose Lindsay Fowler of Sikeston as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Brandy Kaminsky of Sikeston, Michelle Spickler of Panama City Beach, Fla., Paige Norman of Searcy, Ark., and Ashley Day of Matthews. Each wore wine Alfred Angelo A-line spaghetti strap dresses with rousing waists and carried three short-stemmed white roses with baby's breath.

Flower girls, Hali Kaminsky and Lakyn Kaminsky, cousins of the bride, wore white dresses designed with cut-off sleeves, featuring a rose covered waistline and roses scattered throughout the tulle layered skirt.

The bridegroom wore a black Perry Ellis tuxedo with a silver vest and tie.

Blake Pointer attended his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Danny Taylor of New Madrid, Jamie Grogan of East Prairie and Sam Curtis and Anthony Grimes of Matthews. Ushers and candlelighters were Justin Hart and Calvin Baggett of Matthews.

Alex Pointer, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer and train bearers were Chayse Kaminsky and Ethan Spickler, cousins of the bride.

Programs were distributed by Neil Johnson, cousin of the bridegroom and guest book attendant was Melissa Bryant.

A dinner and dance reception was held at the Jaycees Community Building in Matthews, where music was provided by David Franklin.

The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Matthews Missionary Baptist Church the evening before the wedding.

Jackie Day hosted a bridal shower on Aug. 7 at Illinois Avenue Baptist Church with co-hostesses Brandy Kaminsky, Retta Baggett and Joann Stockman.

The bride is employed by Express Tax and the bridegroom works for Cott Beverage.
