Mary Beacham

Born Feb. 9, 1919, in Darden, Tenn., daughter of the late Patrick Henry and Nomie Haggard Wise, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bernie.

On Aug. 19, 1936, at Senath, she married Lawson Snider Beacham who preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1993.

Survivors include: one son, Lawson S. Beacham Jr. of Hot Springs, Ark., two daughters, Virginia A. Williams of Bentonville, Ark., and Dorothy M. Ellsworth of Dexter; and five grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Presley Wise, Hershel Wise and P.H. Wise Jr.; and two sisters, Lossie Henry and Adelene Wise.

Visitation is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Gerald Dale Shearon will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
