Born Nov. 1, 1930, in Bartlett, son of the late Lynn and Anne Warner, he attended the University of Tennessee-Martin for his premedical studies, graduating in 1954. He was an intern at John Gaston City Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., and surgical resident at Beckley Memorial Hospital in West Virginia. A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Southeastern Surgical Congress and Northwest Tennessee Medical Society, he was also a member of the First Baptist Church, where he had served as Sunday school teacher and deacon.
His wife, Faye Warner, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Bill Van Sant of Dyersburg, Donna and Kenny Allen of Sikeston, Mo., Karen and Clay Blalack of Gulfport, Miss., and Cynthia and Dave Grabowski of Jackson, Tenn.; one son and daughter-in-law, Lynn "Andy" and Debbie Warner III of Studio City, Calif.; one sister, Shelby Burch of Somerville; one brother, Bill Warner of Whiteville; and 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Boston and the Rev. Don Hammons officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Charles Agee III, Brad Lewis, John Allen, Chad Blalack, Tim Rodgers and Don Williams.
