The newly poured concrete was damaged by a vehicle, bicycles and individuals who left foot prints and grafitti on 280 feet of concrete.
Tuesday morning construction workers reported the incident to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety which estimated the damage to be $20,000 to $30,000.
The damage will delay the opening of the road one month. A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the those involved.
