SIKESTON - April Latez Gibbs is the mother of her second child, first daughter, born Aug. 21, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Tyennia Lakhia Stevens weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces and was 17 1/2-inches long.

Gibbs, daughter of Nellie Gibbs and Bobby Williams, is employed by Ryan's Family Steak House.

SPRINGFIELD - Scottie and Amy Lay Jenkins are the parents of their first child, a son, born May 11, 2002, at Cox Medical Center in Springfield. Caden Dean Jenkins weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 1/2-inches long.

Mrs. Jenkins is the former Amy Lay, daughter of Ted and Karen S. Recker of Sikeston.

Jenkins is the son of Dean Jenkins of Nixa and Patty Knudson of Branson.

Maternal great-grandparents are Louis and Niva Spivey of Sikeston.

SIKESTON - Ashley Blissett and Alfred Harris III are the parents of their first child, a daughter, born at 2:22 p.m. Aug. 16, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Cierra LaShay Harris weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19-inches long.

Blissett, daughter of Aquilla Blissett and Mary Ann Blissett, is a hand-packer.

Harris, son of Alfred Harris Jr. and Ada May Harris, is a construction worker.

CHAFFEE - Steve Michael Fowler and Tina Danielle Curtis are the parents of their first child, a son, born at 7:33 p.m. Aug. 16, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Brennan Michael Fowler weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 21-inches long. Curtis, daughter of Clyde Curtis Jr. of Benton and Fred Curtis-Savat of McClure, Ill., is employed by The Brace Place.

Fowler, son of Debbie Fowler of Clearfield, Utah, is employed by Havco Wood Products.

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Anthony Garnett and Vanissa Tremell Green are the parents of their second child, first daughter, born at 2:43 p.m. Aug. 16, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. Azaryah Giselle Green weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces and was 18-inches long.

Mrs. Green is the former Vanissa McCauley, daughter of Emry and JoAnn McCauley of Sikeston and is employed by the First State Bank and Trust Co. Inc.

Green, son of Charlie and Patricia Green of Sikeston, is employed by Rhema Word Breakthrough International Ministries.

SIKESTON - James Darrin and Tracy Michelle Skinner are the parents of their second son, born at 6:45 p.m. Aug. 19, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Ryan Daniel Skinner weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20-inches long.

The former Tracy Turner, Mrs. Skinner is the daughter of Charles and Dorothy Turner.

Skinner, son of Russ and Judy Skinner of Sikeston, is an officer with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety.

ORAN - Gilbert Wayne and Michelle Rene Scherer are the parents of their third child, second son, born at 12:33 p.m. Aug. 21, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Hayden James Scherer weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20 1/2-inches long.

Mrs. Scherer is the former Michelle Turner, daughter of Mae Stokes of Sikeston and is employed by Withers Broadcasting in Cape Girardeau.

Scherer, son of Jimmy and Marcia Scherer of Oran, is employed by the Missouri Department of Transportation in Cape Girardeau.
