ORAN - Marina Lorena Klipfel, 82, died June 23, 2004, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

Born March 27, 1922, in New Hamburg, daughter of the late Joseph Nicholas and Coletta Theresa Baudendistel Welter, she retired as a machine operator for the Carr Binding Company in Oran and was later a teacher's aide at Oran Elementary School. A member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and St. Ann Sodality, she was a member of the Knights of Columbus-Ettes Council 4311 and past chaplain of Chaffee VFW Post 3127 Ladies Auxiliary.

On Jan. 8, 1946, she married William "Leo" Klipfel who preceded her in death on June 15, 1976.

Survivors include: two sons, William E. Klipfel of Chaffee and Andrew Klipfel of Cape Girardeau; one daughter Anna Marie Klipfel of Chaffee; two sisters, Dorothy Dent of St. Louis and Elfrieda Sager of Farmers Branch, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where parish prayers at 7 p.m. will be followed by Knights of Columbus prayers at 7:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. John Harth officiating.

Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery.
