DEXTER - Eugene Haney, 78, died Feb. 10, 2005, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.
Born Aug. 23, 1926, at Henson, son of the late Smith James and Madge Phipps Haney, he was a member of the Bridge Church of Christ. He was a farmer and a former heavy equipment operator for the Wilson McMullin Construction Company of Sikeston.
On July 12, 1948, at Benton, he married Kathryn McFall who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Brenda Collier of Dexter; two brothers, the Rev. John Haney of Rockbridge, Ill., and Joe Haney of Dexter; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two daughters, Cathy Ridenour and Regina Haney; and one brother, Alfred Haney.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. Saturday until service time at 11 a.m. at Rainey-
Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. John Haney will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
