SIKESTON - Emory Sharron Pharris, 92, died at 3:58 p.m. March 24, 2003, at his home.

Born Jan. 25, 1911, in Sikeston, son of the late Oscar S. and Lyda Johnson Pharris, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.

On Feb. 3, 1930, in Sikeston, he married Frances M. Cotner who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy C. and Neva Pharris of Sikeston; two grandchildren, Jimmy C. Pharris II and Ginger Miller of Sikeston; and four great-grandchildren, Jason Pobst, Daniel Pharris, Byron Miller and Jordan Miller of Sikeston.

One sister preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. William Koch, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Pallbearers will be: Dwayne Lorenz, Kenny Stokes, Bill Stokes, Joe Jones, Jason Pobst and Daniel Pharris.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Norman Jones, Bill Jones, Bill Vandivort and Daniel F. Norton.
