SIKESTON - The Red Cross War Fund drive in Sikeston has passed the $5,000 mark, but still lacks $3,000 reaching the goal set for the city.

SIKESTON - Chamber of Commerce Manager Roy Bone has been re-elected to a two year term on the board of directors of the Southern Association of the Chamber of Commerce Executives.


NEW MADRID - New Madrid County will hold annual school elections at 21 precincts in the county on April 2, one of which will be at the South Grade School in Sikeston.

SIKESTON - Approximately 450 Girl Scouts and their fathers attended the Girl Scout Father-Daughter Breakfast Saturday at the High School cafetorium. The project was held as part of National Girl Scout Week activities and was sponsored by the 6-Star Neighborhood Association.


SIKESTON - The Easter Bunny had lunch with area children Saturday. The fourth annual event was sponsored by the Beta Sigma Phi, Delta Gamma Chapter.

SIKESTON - Everyone locally agrees the interchange proposed on Interstate 55 north of Sikeston is coming. But how soon? "Eventually, we'll have it," was as definite as District 10 highway engineer Freeman McCullah could commit. "Now, we're working on how quick we can get it together."


SIKESTON - Eric Patterson, Randy Collins, Rod Marks and Heather Stevener received berths in the 1992-93 SEMO All-Conference teams released this week by coaches. Patterson led the Sikeston Bulldogs in scoring (18.5) and was rewarded with a first-team berth.
