BLODGETT - A community dinner in honor of "Aunt" Jane Peal on her 93rd birthday was given yesterday in the basement of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
SIKESTON - Iowa Beef Packers Inc. with administrative offices in Denison, Iowa, has recently announced the appointment of Maurice McGill as vice president-finance. A 1954 graduate of Sikeston High School, McGill received his bachelor of science and master of arts degree in business administration from Missouri University, where he served one year as assistant instructor in accounting. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard McGill of Sikeston Route 2.
EAST PRAIRIE - Miss Mississippi County 1984 is Fleming McWilliams, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed McWilliams of East Prairie. McWilliams, who received a $500 scholarship, now advances to the Miss Missouri Pageant set for next summer.
BENTON - Four students from Kelly High School attended the Mid-South Fair with the Kelly Future Farmers of America Chapter Advisor Robert Gosche in Memphis, Tenn., on Sept. 25 and 26. The students, Eric Seiler, Aaron Robert, Beau Henneman and Chad Seiler participated in the Tennessee Land Judging Contest. These students qualified for the contest by winning the district Soil Judging Contest last April.

ESSEX - The Miss Harvest Princess pageant was conducted on Sept. 17 at Richland High School. Rosanna Williams, 9, was crowned Miss Harvest Princess. Her court included: Casey Robison, 9, first alternate and Charlene Tilley, 9, second alternate.
