CANTON, Ill. -- Milton Harold Talley, 64, died at 10:50 a.m. Oct. 16, 2004, at his home in Canton.
Born Oct. 25, 1939, in Gideon, Mo., son of the late John and Ethel Stewart Talley, he was a self-employed painter and truck driver. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was first married to Mary Volpert, and she survives.
On May 26, 1971, in Chaffee, Mo., he married Wanda Simpson who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Steve Talley-Volpert of West Bend, Kan.; five daughters, Teresa Diamond of Chanute, Kan., Jeanette Hodges and Debbie Wisehart of Manhattan, Kan., Paula Cranford of Houston, Texas, and Rebekah Gilmore of Ellisville, Ill.; two brothers, Terry Talley of the state of California and Eldon Talley of Bloomfield, Mo.; five sisters, Deloris Tucker and Marie Cooper of Bloomfield, Melba Biri of Sikeston, Mo., Elizabeth Williams of Louisville, Ky., and Joyce Wells of Clio, Mich.; and 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Dexter, Mo.
