BERNIE - Wayne King Early, 55, died Sept. 6, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born June 4, 1948, in Poplar Bluff, son of the late Alvin Lester and Ruby Rebecca Gill Early, he served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army and was a member of the Stanfield General Baptist Church in Gideon. A former coach, he owned Early Lawn Service and was a teacher for the New Madrid County Central R-1 School District.

On May 25, 1968, in Gideon, he married Arvilla Sue Randolph who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Bethany and Phillip Britt of Kennett, Courtney and Larry Boone Jr. of Gideon and Gentry and Marty Vancil of Holcomb; one brother, Billy Joe Early of Maryland Heights; one sister, Martha Sue Bogle of Morehouse; and seven grandchildren.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden with the Rev Susan Marner-Sides and the Rev. Bill Orr, officiating.

Burial followed in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
