NAPLES, Fla. - Michael Lee Crain, 62, died Sept. 4, 2003, at the Naples Community Hospital in Naples.
Born July 25, 1941, at Parma, Mo., son of the late Coy Lee and Frieda Lee Tisdale Crain, he grew up in Parma before moving to Carrier Mills, Ill., where he lived for several years and worked as a maintenance and construction worker in a coal mine before moving to Florida three years ago. He served four years in the U.S. Marines and 20 years in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was of the Methodist belief.
Survivors include: one son, Scott Michael Crain of Bernie, Mo.; one daughter, Kellie Jo Martin of Sikeston, Mo.; one brother, Silas Crain of Naples; two sisters, Nancy Stokes of Malden, Mo., and Patricia Owens of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jon Michael Crain, on Sept. 21, 1971.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma with the Rev. John Girdley of Parma officiating.
Burial will follow in the Parma Cemetery in Parma with full military honors provided by the Veterans Honor Guard of Southeast Missouri.
