SIKESTON - Elsie N. Wyatt, 86, died at 10:15 a.m. Oct. 18, 2003, at the St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.
Born Feb. 13, 1917, in Scott County to the late Walter and Ethel Duke Nelson, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston.
On Oct. 13, 1934, in Scott County, she married James Wyatt, who preceded her in death in August 1957. Also she was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include: three sons, David Wyatt of Cicero, Ind., Marvin Wyatt of Fenton and Darrell Wyatt of Hillsboro; one daughter, Ellen Merick of Jefferson City; two brothers, Spurlin "Dick" Nelson and Wallace "Cotton" Nelson of Sikeston; one sister, Wanda Scarbrough of Marietta, Ga.; and 12 grandchildren and 19-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. John Bouldrey, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene of Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
