SIKESTON -- Jennifer Leeann Parker and Jamie Kyle McCoy were united in marriage in a 3 p.m. ceremony May 31, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Sikeston. Dr. Rick Ramsey performed the ceremony. Dave Iannacone and Whitney Wright served as readers for the occasion.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Dawn Parker of Sikeston. She is the granddaughter of Virginia Parker of Dexter and the late Archie Parker and Mary Margaret and Hilliard Poyner.

Parents of the bridegroom are Harold and Sandra McCoy of Sikeston. He is the grandson of Oadis Clayton of East Prairie and the late John Clayton and Monroe and Estelle McCoy.

Organist Shirley McClellan and pianist Lisa Colbert provided music for the occasion with singers Judy Leigh; the Rev. Larry Davis; Geoff Parker, brother of the bride; Bill Poyner, uncle of the bride; and Michael Nickelson.

The bride and bridegroom were presented in marriage by their parents.

Her white lustre embroidered satin gown, designed by Madeline Gardner for Mori Lee, featured a strapless top edged with delicate piping on an embroidered bodice. The front of the gown featured a Redingot insert trimmed with embroidered and beaded appliques. The same detailing adorned the back of the chapel length train.

Meghan Leigh Mallett of Conway, Ark., was matron of honor and Tiffany Grojean of Jackson was maid of honor, both friends of the bride. Bridesmaids were Christy Parker of Jackson, sister-in-law of the bride; Laura Borgmeyer of St. Charles, cousin of the bride; and Julie McDowell of Bertrand and Whitney Wright of Sikeston, friends of the bride. Maelyn Dean, daughter of Travis and Julie Dean of Pryor, Okla., and cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Kyle Schlosser of Sikeston and David Iannacone of Bridgeton attended their friend as best men. Groomsmen were Travis Maze of Olathe, Kan., and Andrew Lawson of Sikeston, friends of the bridegroom, and Jonathan McCoy of Springfield, Ill., brother of the bridegroom and Geoffrey Parker of Jackson, brother of the bride. Ringbearer was Jonathan Dean, son of Travis and Julie Dean of Pryor and cousin of the bride.

Ushers were Travis Dean of Pryor, Justin Dean of Perry, Kan., and Craig Borgmeyer of St. Charles, cousins of the bride and candlelighters were Bradley Poyner and Christopher Poyner, sons of Bill and Beth Poyner of Collierville, Tenn.

Dr. Dawn McCoy of Springfield, Ill., sister-in-law of the bridegroom, was guest book attendant.

The wedding reception was catered by Susie's Bake Shop and Restaurant at the church Family Life Center.

A dinner and dance was held later in the evening at the Ramada Inn for members of the wedding party, family and out-of-town guests.

The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on May 30 at the Sikeston Country Club.

A 1998 graduate of Sikeston High School, the bride expects to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy in May 2004 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Also a 1998 graduate of Sikeston High School, the bridegroom attended Hannibal-LaGrange College and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is a supervisor for Costco Wholesale.

Following a trip to Fort Walton Beach, Fla., they are making their home in Kansas City, Kan.
