SIKESTON DRAG STRIP
SIKESTON - In Super Pro, Linden Hills drove himself into second place in the points championship race. Hills was put into the right lane several times Saturday, as left is his lane of choice, but this didn't alter his driving ability as he came out victorious. Second place went to Gary Summers.
In the Pro Class, John Stearns won with a 6.76 dial. He ran 6.77 at 100 mph with a reaction time of .528. Runner up was Mike Foster. He ran 7.30 on a 7.32 dial at 90 mph with a reaction time of .501.
In the ET Class, Tre Hammontree, a two-time points champion, won with a 7.96 dial. He ran 7.98 at 79 mph with a reaction time of .501. David Leonard took second as he ran 11.00 on an 11.00 dial at 64 mph. His reaction time was .552.
On Sunday, the Sikeston Drag Strip will have the Motorcycle Drag Racing.
BENTON -- Sikeston's Jerrod Hull took top honors at the Auto Tire and Parts NAPA Racepark on Saturday night in the Sprints division.
Chris Hall won the Modifieds, Greg Casey won the Pure Street, and the team of Bartels and Trankler won the Cruiser.
