EAST PRAIRIE -- Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Brown have announced the engagement of their daughter, Kasey Elizabeth, to Bryan Joseph Cogdill, son of Shirley Carlyle of East Prairie and Jeff Cogdill of Anniston.

A 2001 graduate of East Prairie High School, the future bride is pursuing a degree in early childhood education and minoring in developmental psychology at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of East Prairie High School and is employed as a merchandiser at Consolidated Grain and Barge.

Plans are being finalized for an outdoor wedding Sept. 27 at the residence of the bride's parents in East Prairie.
