James Moore

EAST PRAIRIE -- James Edward Moore, 62, died at 1:10 a.m. Aug. 9, 2003, at his home.

Born July 10, 1941, at Wolf Island, son of the late James William and Maggie Lee Marshall Moore, he had lived in Mississippi County all of his life, where he was a member of the First Baptist Church in East Prairie. He was employed by Noranda Aluminum.

On Feb. 7, 1975, in East Prairie, he married Katherine Sue "Susie" Brown who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Edward and Sarah Moore of Kelso; two daughters and sons-in-law, Terri Denese and Cody Archie of East Prairie and Julie Annette and Bryan Becker of Fenton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Samuel Austin and Glennie Moore and Robert Winston and Peggy Moore of East Prairie; and five grandchildren, Alyssa Moore and Alaney Moore of Kelso and Lauren Becker, Lyndsey Becker and Jeffrey Becker of Fenton.

One sister, Linda Faye Boyer, preceded him in death.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Dennis Lowe will officiate.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
