DEXTER -- Joyce Weber, 72, died Aug. 8, 2003, at her home.

Born Nov. 11, 1930, at Malden, daughter of the late Robert S. and Aline Elam MacDonald, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, where she served as a Sunday School worker. A founder of the Stoddard County Association for Retarded Citizens, she served on the Governor's Council for the Developmentally Disabled and worked as a volunteer in Dexter for many years.

On May 12, 1952, in Dexter, she married Joe E. Weber who survives of the home.

In addition to her husband, survivors include: two daughters, Beth Weber and Cynthia Chesser of Dexter; one sister, Marjean Mayer of Dexter; two brothers, Bob MacDonald of St. Louis and Bruce MacDonald of Williamsburg, Va.; and two grandsons.

One brother, John D. MacDonald, also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Fred Leist officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
