CAPE GIRARDEAU - Lowanda Louise Gremard, 80, formerly of Sikeston, died at 6:20 a.m. July 1, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 21, 1924, in Wardell, daughter of the late Oscar Clearance and Minnie Jane Taylor Young, she was a homemaker. A former member of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, she was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

On Sept. 15, 1941, in Caruthersville, she married Ralph W. Gremard who preceded her in death.

One daughter, Brenda Bellamy, three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons, Donald Gremard of Cape Girardeau and Bruce Gremard of Dexter; two daughters, Deloris Wood of Dallas, Ga., and Robin Gremard of Sikeston; and 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services are at 2 p.m. today in the Nunnelee Chapel. The Rev. Marlyn (Bud) Schott, pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church, will officiate assisted by the Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the Portageville Cemetery.
