Vera McDaniel

PARMA -- Vera Margaret McDaniel, 67, formerly of Lilbourn, died March 30, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare in Dexter.

Born Feb. 23, 1938, in New Madrid County, daughter of the late Andrea and Cinda Raines Shemwell, she was a homemaker and attended the Church of God in Parma.

On Sept. 12, 1957, she married Joseph "Burton" McDaniel who survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sisters, Madge Strickland of Essex and Ruth Middleton of Sikeston.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Carol O'Dell, pastor of Parma Church of God, and the Rev. John Girdley, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Parma, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery at Lilbourn.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be members of the Parma Volunteer Fire Department.
