SIKESTON - Edna Mae Cummins, 73, died at 9:15 a.m. June 22, 2005, Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Oct. 31, 1931, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, daughter of the late True Bardo and Ather Leo Dethridge Whorton, she was a housewife and homemaker and of the Baptist belief.
On Sept. 7, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., she married Charles J. Cummins who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Ed Sherrod and Phyllis and Rodney Hale of Sikeston; one brother, Kenneth Whorton of Marion, Ark., one sister, Iva Jewel Lynn of Chaffee; three granddaughters, Tara Hale and Holly Hale of Sikeston and Jackie Jameson of Oran; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. with the Rev. Randy Thomas, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Morehouse, officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Hogan, Dennis Kitsinger, Gary Kitsinger, Ricky Whorton, Mark Becker and Brian Becker.
