DECATUR, Ga. - Wilber Ray "David" Jacobs, 76, died Sept. 21, 2003, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Born April 7, 1927, in Hayti, Mo., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Jacobs Sr., he worked in the field of radio broadcasting and held positions in Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Mobile, Ala. before working for radio stations WGKA and WABE in Atlanta, Ga.

Two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.

He is survived by an aunt, Ella B. Turner of Sikeston, Mo.; four nephews, Charles E. Baker Jr. of Atlanta, Jim Baker of Tempe, Ariz., Paul Baker of Hannibal, Mo., and Mike Jacobs or Morristown, Tenn.; six nieces, Connie Alvis of Oak Ridge, Carolyn Jacobs of Clinton, Tenn., Cindy Garner of Pacific, Mo., Dixi Maki of Escandito, Calif., and Janet Gwaltney of Atlanta; and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

A memorial graveside service will be conducted in Oak Ridge, Tenn., at a later date.
