SIKESTON -- Shirley Landers Goode, 83, died March 26, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Oct. 7, 1921, in Kennett, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Daisy Mae Young Landers.
On Feb. 1, 1941, at the First Baptist Church in Risco, she married Hugh C. Goode who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Patricia Kay Chism and Jeanne Carol Goode of Sikeston and Delores Ann Faucett of Cupertino, Calif.; two brothers, J.R. Landers of Risco and Don Landers of Malden; a cousin who was raised as a brother, Weston Landers of Hemet, Calif.; two sisters, Idabell Terry of Risco and Inez Bond of Parma; 11 grandchildren, Sheila Bogle of Sikeston, John Faucett of San Francisco, Calif., Bryan Faucett of Cupertino, Kimberley Faucett of San Jose, Calif., Angela Faucett Peard of Seattle, Wash., Lisa Webb of Dexter, Jennifer Cantrell of Bertrand, Debra Link of Memphis, Tenn., Nellie and Jason Kuykendall of High Ridge and John Kuykendall of Hillsboro; and nine great-grandchildren, Thomas, Derick and Jeremy Warren of Sikeston, Jamie Warren of Bloomfield, Trey, Adam and Madelyn Webb of Dexter, Sarah Cantrell of Bertrand and Nathan Link of Memphis.
In addition to her parents, one daughter, Judy Burden; and one brother, Hugh Landers, preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Ronnie Ledbetter, pastor of Cline's Island General Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
