CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Edward Temples, 91, formerly of Pontiac, Mich., and Dexter, died Oct. 21, 2007, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 25, 1916, in Stoddard County, to the late Charlie and Mary McClard Temples, he spent 45 years in Pontiac where he worked as the head serviceman for the Sears Company. In 1981, he moved to Dexter where he was a member of the First Baptist Church. He moved to Cape Girardeau two years ago.
On Oct. 2, 1937, at Bloomfield, he married Geraldine "Jerri Ann" Webb, who survives.
Other survivors include: three sisters, Addie Thieke of Kokomo, Ind., and Charlene Middleton and Evelyn Hunt of Dexter.
He was preceded in death by: three brothers, Sam Temples, Tom Temples and Fred Temples; and four sisters, Ruth Corlies, Julia Ivester, Naomi Miller and Gladys Spore.
Visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Graveside services will follow at 10 a.m. at the Dexter Cemetery with Dr. Curtis T. Porter, pastor of First Baptist Church in Dexter, officiating.
