Sikeston Standard Democrat: Obituaries: Viola Jones (09/04/03)

MORLEY - Viola Jones, 80, died at 10 p.m. Sept. 2, 2003, at the Jackson Manor.

Born Sept. 30, 1922, in Leuchville, Ark., daughter of the late Charlie Allen and May F. Hause Woods, she was a member of the Hooe Baptist Church.

On May 19, 948, she married Charles J. Jones who preceded her in death on March 25, 1970.

Survivors include: three daughters, Phyllis Terry of Vandalia, Ann Nordin of Chaffee and Vicky Shoemaker of Jackson; one sister, Rachael Woods of Morley; and eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

One son, one brother, two sisters and one great-grandson also preceded her in death.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Watis Harrell will officiate.

Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Doug Nordin, John Nordin, Matt Pobst, Matt Luckett, Robert Shoemaker and Trevor Shaw.
