White - Gilmer

NEW MADRID -- Charles David White has announced the engagement of his daughter, Cammy Spreng, to Justin Wade Gilmer, son of Bruce H. and Frieda Joyce Gilmer of New Madrid. White is also the daughter of the late Amy Jeanne Murphy.

A 1998 graduate of New Madrid County Central, the future bride received a Bachelor of Science in mass communication from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004. She is employed with Scheffer's Office Furniture and Business Machines in Sikeston.

The prospective bridegroom is also a 1998 graduate of New Madrid County Central. He received Bachelor of Sciences in mass communication and criminal justice in 2002 from Southeast Missouri State University. He is employed with Ames True Temper in Bernie.

Plans are under way for an Oct. 29 wedding.
