DEXTER -- Loman Hartline, 80, died March 9, 2005, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born Oct. 23, 1924, in Dexter, son of the late William and Pearl Pruett Hartline, he was a lifelong resident of Dexter and was of the Baptist belief. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and earned a silver star and five bronze stars.

On Aug. 13, 1949, he married Bertha Yeager who preceded him in death on Sept. 8, 1975. He then married Ruby Malloy in April 1976, and she preceded him in death on March 23, 1992.

One sister, Margie McGowan, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include: three sons, Lloyd Estes of Bloomfield, Jim Hartline of Dexter and David Hartline of Wichita, Kan.; three daughters, Joanne Mangrum and Beverly Courter of Dexter and Barbara Ray of Independence; three brothers, Frank Hartline and John Hartline of Batesville, Ark., and Dale Hartline of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Emma Holland and Doris Parley of Batesville and Helen Harrington of Locust Grove, Ark.; and 14 grandchildren and 13 great-


Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Jean Holland of Batesville will officiate.

Burial with full military rites will follow in the Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
