DEXTER - Bobby Welch, 72, died April 13, 2005, in the emergency room at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 26, 1932, at Gray Ridge, to the late Manuel and Daisy Rusche Welch, he was a retired truck driver for PTI and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War.
On Oct. 22, 1951, at Piggott, Ark., he married Louise McCollough, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Danny Golden of Bloomfield; two brothers, Bill Welch of Huntsville, Ala., and Michael Welch of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two grandchildren, Tina Hampton and Chris Hunsaker of Dexter; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, George Henry Welch; and one sister, Mary Jo Smith.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Clifford Wray will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
