EAST PRAIRIE -- Billy Dale Anderson, 82, died at 11 p.m. April 11, 2005, at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer, Ind.
Born Nov. 24, 1922, in Caruthersville, son of the late Goah Winfield and Della Rae Speights Anderson, he had lived in Gary, Ind., Sikeston and Dexter before moving to East Prairie in 1983. While living in Indiana he worked in CTV Steel Mill loading trucks and boxcars. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses in East Prairie.
On Oct. 26, 1948, in East Prairie, he married Edith Lawrence who preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 2004.
Three sisters, Minnielone Anderson, Cora Ethel Oxford and Doris Anderson, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sally Rae Snow of Rensselaer; three sisters, Beatrice Seitz of Union, Frances Matthews of Fort Meade, Fla., and Jesse Dorris of Lilbourn; two brothers, James Winfield Anderson of Jonesboro, Ark., and Cleo Gene Anderson of Overland; and three grandsons and four great-
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall in East Prairie with Joe Hill officiating.
Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie is in charge of local arrangements.
