BENTON - Claude Housman Jr., 66, formerly of Mississippi County, died at 5:
30 a.m. April 13, 2005, at his home.
Born July 26, 1938, in Deventer, son of the late Claude Walter and Marie Hutson Housman, he had lived in Scott and Mississippi counties most of his life and was employed as a truck driver with Pullen Trucking Co. until his retirement in 1997. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
On Aug. 23, 1959, he married Evelyn Shoffner who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Michael Housman and Billy Wayne Housman of Benton; one daughter, Kay Bone of Charleston; four sisters, Kathryn Vinson of Shelby Township, Mich., Norma Faye Holt of Highland, Calif., Delma Jean Holt of Redlands, Calif., and Sharon Fernadez of Arlington, Ky.; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Rhonda Pehm, and two brothers, Bruce Housman and Albert Lee Housman, preceded him in death in addition to his parents.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday with Walter Bryars of East Prairie officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Anthony Housman, Robert Housman, Danny Housman, Brian Fernadez, Pete Fernadez and Patrick Pehm.
Honorary pallbearers will be: James Housman, Billy Don Francis and Ricky Bone.
