DUNNELLON, Fla. - Genevieve Moore Decker, 83, formerly of Morehouse, Mo., and East Prairie, Mo., died at 7:45 p.m. July 6, 2005, in the Legacy House in Ocala.
Born June 29, 1922, in Pemiscot County (Mo.), daughter of the last William A. and Pearl Michie Moore, she lived in Florida for the past four years after moving from Morehouse.
On Oct. 21, 1939, she married Samuel A. Decker who preceded her in death on June 6, 2001.
Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Toots Moore, Ralph Moore, Charles Moore and Delbert Mendenhall; and one sister, Sylvia Ray.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Doris Decker of Pevely, Mo.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Alice Joyce and Bud Sutton of Dunnellon and Barbara Jean Wiseman of Panama City, Panama; seven sisters, Alice Stallings of Crystal City, Mo., Leatha Roberts of Pevely, Georgia Kemp, Laura Russell, Patsy Thomas, Willie B. Norman and Agnes Walker of East Prairie; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-
Visitation is scheduled after 5 p.m. Monday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday with her son, Sammy Decker, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, Mo.
