Denver, Colo. - Myrtle Joye Lee, 87, died July 30, 2005, in Denver, Colo., from complications of a long illness.
Born Jan. 22, 1918, in Prescott, Ark., the daughter of Dr. Arthur Augustus and Gertine Worth Hamilton Reeder, in the early 1920s she moved to Portageville where she was active in school, church and community affairs.
On Sept. 8, 1932, she married Thomas Stewart Lee who preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Thelma Westmoreland Reeder; one son, Thomas A. Lee II; and three sisters, Bonnie Willard Mouser, Marie Quinn Glover and Mary Lynne Palleres.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Howard Moss of Des Moines, Iowa, and Sabra and Jerry Spradling of Castle Rock; one son, Joseph Lee of Salt Lake City, Utah; one brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Charles and Harriet Reeder of Smithville, Mo; and eight grandchildren, eight great-
grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 9 a.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Portageville, Mo.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at the Portageville Cemetery in Portageville. Dr. Sharon Howard of the Portageville United Methodist Church in Portageville will officiate.
