DELTA - Ivan E. Lesch, 86, died at 8:07 p.m. Sept. 6, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born March 22, 1919, in Allenville, son of the late Guy and Ruth Mansker Lesch, he was a retired heavy equipment operator with Shelby Brown Construction Co. in Jackson. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
On Nov. 8, 1937, he married Retha Lands, who preceded him in death on Sept. 18, 1998.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers, one sister and two grandchildren.
Survivors include: eight sons, Lonnie and Lindell Lesch of Allenville; Hughes, Don, Dale, Tim and T.J. Lesch of Delta and Guy Lesch of Thebes, Ill.; one brother, Todd Lesch of Bloomington; two sisters, Joan Truman of Tahiequah, Okla., and Drucille Lindgren of Gainesville, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-
grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; 16 great-stepchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Jack Owens will officiate.
Burial will follow in Kenyan Cemetery at Delta.
