James L. Calvin Sr.

MOUNDS, Ill.-- James L. Calvin Sr., 70, died at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 27, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Dec. 6, 1932, in Pulaski, son of the late Charles and Stella Egner Calvin, he was the co-owner of Calvin Siding and Windows. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the American Legion.

His wife, Patricia Calvin, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Tracey A. Johnson of East Cape Girardeau; two sons, James L. Calvin Jr. of Sikeston, Mo., and Kevin Calvin of Mounds; one sister, Betty Stout of Mounds; one brother, Bill Calvin of Mound City; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge with the Rev. James L. Calvin Jr. officiating.

Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds is in charge of arrangements.
