PADUCAH, Ky. - Anna Lurine "Ann" Smith, 83, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Mo, died at 12:33 a.m. Oct. 13, 2003, at Western Baptist Hospital.
Born May 13, 1920, in Piggott, Ark., daughter of the late Lewis Monroe and Flora Emaline Jackson Shaw, she was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Poplar Bluff. She retired from the Poplar Bluff Regional Diagnostic Clinic and had also been a licensed practical nurse serving in private duty and sitting with patients before retiring.
Survivors include: three daughters, Phyllis Marie Hall of Dresden, Tenn., Nelsa Ann Perry of Matthews, Mo., and Paula Lurine Butler of Paducah; one brother, Lewis Monroe Shaw of Knoxville, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
One brother preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesdaay at the Milner and Orr Lone Oak Funeral Chapel.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Black Creek Cemetery in Poplar Bluff. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs of Sikeston, Mo., will officiate.
