BLOOMFIELD - Elmer Bostic, 70, died Sept. 8, 2003, at his home.
Born Jan. 17, 1933, in Greenville, son of the late Benjamin and Catheryn Knuckles Bostic, he was a farmer and lifelong resident of Bloomfield.
In August 1950, he married Frances Cox who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Narvel Bostic and Albert Bostic of Bloomfield; two daughters, Linda Edwards of Bloomfield and Teresa Swallows of Hunningdon, Tenn.; three brothers, Melvin Bostic, Cecil Bostic and Jude Bostic of Bloomfield; one sister, Cletta Carter of Corcoran, Calif.; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Eskew of Bloomfield officiating.
Burial followed in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
