SIKESTON - Henry Mitchell "Beaver" Mathis, 38, died at 10 p.m. Oct. 5, 2003.

Born July 31, 1965, in Turrell, Ark. he was the son of Jodie Freeman Sprous of Sikeston and the late Elbert Lee Mathis.

Other survivors include: his stepfather, Bill Sprous of Sikeston; two sons, Scotty Mitchell Mathis and DeCoda Allen Mathis of Lilbourn; and two brothers, John Franklin Mathis and Hollis Lee Mathis of Sikeston.

One sister preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
