SIKESTON - Delmar H. Alcorn Sr., 82, died at 4:22 a.m. Oct. 7, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Sept. 18, 1921, in Pyletown, son of the late Ellis K. and Wrista Fulkerson Alcorn, he was a farmer and real estate broker. A member of Sikeston Masonic Lodge 310 AF&AM, he was a Shriner and member of the Moolah Temple in St. Louis and Semo Shrine Mounted Patrol. Also a member of Sikeston Eagles Aerie 3319, he was a former member of the Sikeston Elks Lodge.
On Dec. 30, 1939, he married Helen Marie Wyman who preceded him in death on Nov. 19, 1981.
Survivors include: two sons, Dan Alcorn of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Sonny Alcorn of Sikeston; three daughters, Peggy Oliver of Charleston, Pam Wilson of Washington, Mo., and Judy Hathhorn of Sikeston; one brother, C.D. Alcorn of Morley; two sisters, Ruth Chaney and Blanche McDonald of Sikeston; and 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were two brothers, one sister and one grandson, Jonathan Ellis Alcorn.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday with Dan Alcorn officiating.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Jason Oliver, Rush Oliver, Jeff Wilson, Matt Wilson, Kyle Alcorn, Tyler Alcorn, Ben Alcorn, Dan Alcorn, David Alcorn and Michael Miles.
