POPLAR BLUFF - John David Kimbrel, 44, formerly of Dexter, died Oct. 6, 2003, in the emergency room of the Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff.

Born Aug. 15, 1959, at Dexter to Frances Lemons Montgomery of Dexter and William Kimbrel of Seneca, he was a truck driver for Heavy Duty Trux in Bloomfield and affiliated with the Baptist church.

Surviving in addition to his mother and father are: two sons, Ryan Neil Kimbrel and Joshua Eric Kimbrel of Dexter; one daughter, Heather Nicole Kimbrel of Dexter; three brothers, Rafe Montgomery of Farmington, Darin Montgomery of Hendersonville, Tenn., and William Kimbrel II of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Willa Moser of Fredericktown and Charlotte Riddle of Dexter; his stepmother, Linda Kimbrel of Seneca; and one grandson.

Also he is survived by his fiance, Terri Priest of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Buddy Heaton will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
