Sikeston lost the 9th grade game 37-28 while the 8th grade team fell 20-6.
In the freshman game, Sikeston (1-2) jumped out to a 7-0 lead on a Deamicus Cox 92-yard run. Joe Lincoln's extra point made it 7-0.
Jackson then took the lead on a blocked punt that was recovered in the end zone. The Indians ran a two-point conversion to make it 8-7.
Cox returned the ensuing kickoff down the left sideline 98 yards for a touchdown to give the Bulldogs the lead once again. Lincoln's extra point made it 14-8.
But Jackson's Tom Wood answered with a kick return of his own for a touchdown to give the Indians the lead for good.
Cox would later add a 40-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. And in the fourth quarter, Lincoln hit wide receiver Josh Jackson for an 80-yard touchdown pass to make it 37-28.
The Bulldogs recovered the onside kick but couldn't score again.
In the 8th grade game, Sikeston (1-3) fell behind 20-0 and never could get much offense going.
The Bulldogs finally scored on the final play of the game when Tommie Strong took the toss sweep and out-ran the Jackson defenders down the left sideline for an 84-yard touchdown run.
Sikeston's 8th and 9th grade teams will play at Poplar Bluff next Thursday at 5 p.m.
